Howdy!

Finally back up and running. It’s amazing what paying your bill will do for you!

I need a visual change… I’ll work on that sometime soon. This look is just temporary until I can work on it more.

Cha Cha Changes

by Mary Jo in Everyday Life

You know the saying one step forward and two steps back. Last year I quit a job I liked because I had a boss I hated. I went to a new job that I loved, until I didn’t anymore, and it became a job I hated. Now I’m starting back at the beginning and going back to the job I loved and the boss I hated. The only reason I’m doing it though is because she offered me the right amount of money. I figure 2 hours a day spent with her there has to be better then 8 hours a day of misery. Oh well. We are moving to Indiana soon and I won’t have to deal with her anyways.

I heard back from the police department and they decided to go with someone else. That is fine and I figured as much when I hadn’t heard back from them in a while. I will find something else when it gets closer to moving I suppose.

Life

Last month, my mother-in-law called to let us know that the city where we used to live was hiring a police dispatcher. I have some qualifications, so we drove out to Indiana and picked up an application. The application is about 10 pages, and I had to include a picture, copy of my credit report and a copy of my GED. We mailed it in, and I figured that would be the end of it.

A few days ago, I got a letter in the mail telling me to report to the police department April 10th for a written exam. WooHoo! They sent me a packet of papers to study and 70% passes. I’m really excited about all of this happening! If I pass the test, then I get moved along further in the process. The next steps would be a background check and a voice stress analysis test. If I pass those, then I will be scheduled for an interview. It’s a long process, but maybe something great will come of it.

On a much different note, I went to see my doctor this week because I haven’t been feeling great, and I needed some RX refills. Well, I was talking with my doctor, and I asked her about getting something for depression. I have had issues with depression since I was a teenager, but I’ve never really taken anything for it. Frankly, I’m just tired of feeling stressed out and sad all of the time. So, we will try this med and see how it goes. I’m excited about taking it, and I really hope I can feel the difference.

So, that’s life right now. :-)
